A new urban ecosystem.

Waterside will transform Indy’s urban core by creating a thriving new downtown district on the 103-acre former GM Stamping Plant. The development will produce a new standard of livability and sustainability while engaging with the water and seamlessly integrating into its surrounding neighborhoods. With office, commercial and retail space, residential units, a hotel, community green space, and public recreational opportunities along the water, Ambrose aims to harness the power of design, nature, and urban planning to transform and expand Indy’s core for generations.

Blank slate, fresh start.

The undeveloped site will soon be transformed into a thriving metropolitan district. Complete with new housing, parks, recreational opportunities, restaurants, public art, and new corporate workspaces—Waterside will change the urban fabric of Indianapolis.

Nature-forward approach.

Waterside is committed to a more sustainable and ecological approach. The project will be intentional with the views, the greenspace, and with the water access it will afford on the river and along the channels.

An engaged community.

The plans for the site align with our neighbors’ vision for the western edge of downtown Indianapolis—a more connected, more vibrant, more supportive urban environment. The closest neighborhood to Waterside is The Valley, part of the West Indy communities. Not far are our neighbors in Stringtown, We Care, Hawthorne, and Haughville.
