Ambrose Property Group Announces Glick Partnership and Major Additions to Executive Leadership Team as Vision to Catalyze Philanthropic and Community-Centric Strategies
New Residential Partnership with Glick to Strengthen Downtown Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLISAmbrose Property Group today announced its new vision for the future which includes a new residential partnership at Waterside with the Gene B. Glick Company, major additions to the company’s executive leadership team and plans to catalyze its philanthropic and community-centric strategies to strengthen Indianapolis.

“As we look forward to the next 10 years, we are doing so with a powerhouse leadership team and a group of respected partners – like Glick – who are fully committed to our community from both a real estate and a philanthropic perspective,” said Aasif Bade, founder and president of Ambrose. “Community-involvement and charitable initiatives have always been core to Ambrose and we’re excited to increase our impact in these areas as the future unfolds.”

Ambrose will partner with Glick to build and manage apartment homes at Waterside – over 100 acres in downtown Indianapolis that will expand the urban core of the city for generations to come. Glick, which is headquartered in Indianapolis, is one of the largest real estate ownership, development and management firms in the country. Within central Indiana, Glick is particularly well-known for giving back to the community and for its association with Glick Philanthropies, a family of charitable initiatives, programs and organizations.

“Ambrose’s vision for this project aligns closely with our values relating to community development and creating opportunities to strengthen the neighborhoods of Indianapolis,” said David Barrett, president and CEO of Glick. “We view Waterside as a once-in-a-generation project and we are impressed by the Ambrose team’s desire to not just be developers of real estate, but to focus on the civic and philanthropic aspects of this important project.”

This partnership is part of Ambrose’s broader vision to build a stronger community with a growing leadership team.

Jason Sturman will join as chief investment officer focused on growth in Indianapolis and beyond. Sturman most recently served as chief investment officer at Milhaus, a development company focused on urban Class A apartments in the Midwest and Southeast. Prior to Milhaus, he spent 13 years in leadership roles at Duke Realty.

“This opportunity with Ambrose will allow me to help grow the company and expand on the incredible base that Aasif and the team have created,” said Sturman who will start on July 15. “Indianapolis is a better city because of the work Ambrose is doing to create sustainable, community-focused developments and I look forward to joining the leadership team.”

Sturman earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, his Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Science, and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago’s Booth School.

Other executive leadership moves include:

Grant Goldman, who joined Ambrose in 2016, was promoted to executive vice president of development. In this role, he will be responsible for the pursuit and execution of development projects and targeted market growth.

Mali Jeffers, who joined Ambrose in 2017 to lead community outreach for Waterside, was promoted to vice president of marketing and corporate responsibility. In this unique role, she will oversee all of Ambrose’s community outreach, marketing and corporate responsibility efforts. Under Jeffers’ leadership, Ambrose selected Central Indiana Community Foundation to be its Neighborhood Impact and Inclusivity partner for Ambrose Opportunity Zone projects. She also oversees the Placemaking, Neighborhood Impact and Inclusivity partnership with CICF for the Waterside development.

Derek Naber recently joined Ambrose as a development manager. He previously worked for Holladay Properties focused on the Central State redevelopment.

Michelle Brackett, who joined Ambrose in 2015, was also promoted to executive operations director.

Ambrose also recently announced the finalists of the Waterside Design Competition. The finalists and members of their design teams will visit Indianapolis next month and give public presentations that describe their studio’s approach and design philosophy. The Waterside Finalist Introductions are free and open to the public, and will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12 at INDUSTRY (545 Kentucky Ave., Indianapolis, IN).
